UCL MRC DTP student Heather Cross attended Advanced Course in Basic & Translational Immunology in Colorado, USA

I undertook an advanced training course with FOCIS in basic and clinical Immunology with the support of the MRC DTP advanced training fund and as a recipient of the FOCIS travel award, which allowed me to travel to Aurora, Colorado and receive lectures from leading experts from all over America. 

I was able to network with American researchers, visit their labs, and hear about their work, which gave me potential career opportunities and collaborations for the future.
